Very ashy, pannacotta, wood smoke, tonic beans and nectarines.

The first of the ‘new’ distilleries, Arran first appeared on the market just as we were starting in the whisky industry so we’ve matured (although that’s debatable in Mark’s case!) as it has. We can see Arran from our office window on a clear day. Production of peated malt at the Lochranza distillery stopped in 2018 just before Lagg opened. Presumably not a
coincidence! Normally used in Machrie Moor, this Arran malt is peated to 20ppm so while definitely present, the peat is well balanced rather than overpowering.
